Per Bittner
Mr Bittner took 2nd place at the 2016 Challenge Melbourne, Challenge Fredericia and Challenge Rimini, and 1st place at the 2016 Challenge Aruba, 2017 Leipziger Triathlon and 2017 Arendsee middle distance. Originally from Germany, his partner is Yvonne van Vlerken and together they support one another’s passions for triathlon and fitness.

Yvonne van Vlerken
Ms Vlerken is the European & Dutch Champion for Long Distance (2017). She took 1st place at the 2016 Challenge Wanaka in New Zealand, the 2017 Challenge Almere with a new course record, and the Challenge Wanaka with another new course record and time of 9:15:00. Originally from Austria, Ms Vlerken shares her passion for triathlon with her partner, Per Bittner.

Alexander Polizzi
Mr Polizzi is originally from Australia, and has taken part in triathlons all over the world. Last year, he took 2nd place at the Krabi International Triathlon, 4th place at the 70.3 Ironman in Vietnam, and 5th place at the Ironman 70.3 Thailand. He trains intensely and continues to improve his performance.

Amelia Rose Watkinson
Ms Watkinson is a professional triathlete from New Zealand, and holds the goal of becoming World Champion. She ia a 2x National Half Marathon Champion and has a 66% win rate. In 2016, she took 1st place at the 70.3 Thailand and 1st place at Bohol 5150 in the Philippines. In 2017, she took 1st place at the 70.3 Taupo New Zealand, 1st place at the Laguna Phuket Triathlon, and 3rd place at the 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships in Australia.

Antony Costes
Mr Costes, aka ‘Le Tigre’, took part in his first triathlon aged 9 and has raced as a professional athlete since 2012. In 2016, he took 1st place at the Ironman 70.3 Gurye and 2nd place at the LPT half distance. In 2017, he took 1st place at the Ironman Barcelona and 3rd place at the Thailand Challenge. He is originally from France and holds a PhD in Biomechanics.

Henri Schoeman
Mr. Schoeman is a South African triathlete. He won the gold medal at 2016 ITU Grand Final in Cozumel and bronze medal at 2016 Summer Olympics. It’s the first Olympic medal South Africa has won in the sport.

Damien Rider
Damien Rider is an author, multiple world record ultra endurance athlete and global motivational speaker. Known for always pushing himself to the limit, Damien has broken world records for his 800km solo paddle boarding expedition from Australia’s Gold Coast to Bondi Beach. His gruelling 17-day journey was captured in a National Geographic feature film titled, Heart of The Sea.

Rebecca Frith
Rebecca Frith – From hairdresser, to fitness trainer, to sales to mum of 2 and now an author. Rebecca has a passion for life, health and experiences. For the past 4 years Bec and her family have been living a plant based/Vegan lifestyle and she has just released one of the latest and most inspiring Plant Based/Vegan books “Legends of Change”.

Sammy Ellis Frith
Mr Frith is a plant based nutrition expert, specifically in relation to athletic performance and building muscle. Vegan for 3 years, Sam transformed his own slim physique on a plant based diet (adding 25lbs in just 11 weeks), and is now on a mission to help others optimise their health and transition to a plant based diet.

Irene Coletto
Irene is an Italian Triathlete from Padua – Nord Italy. She has been a multisport competitor for over 5 years, starting with running and Duathlon before moving to Triathlon. She decides to become a Pro Triathlete to follow her dreams “Work with Passion”. She described more that being a part of Thanyapura Triathlon Team is also another dream that she could make it comes true.

Julia Rick
Ms Rick is the current WWA Wake Park World Champion in both Women’s Professional and Women’s Fitness. She dominated 2017’s wakeboarding season by taking first place in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, the Philippines and Shanghai. Prior to her focus on wakeboarding and kiteboarding, she was part of the Second German Football League in Cologne (1.FC Köln).

Mikhail Makarov
Mr Makarov has completed 3 Ironmans with a time of 9:46 at Challenge Roth, 6 Ironman 70.3s with 3 races in under 5 hours, and 3 marathons including the PR in Berlin with a time of 3:08. Originally from Russia, Mr Makarov only began training competitively at the age of 33 and has been training ever since. He first began preparing to compete in Ironmans in 2013 and learned a lot during his stays at Thanyapura.

Ms Richardson is a triathlete from Devon in the UK. She has only been training as a triathlete for a couple of years and is already enjoying success, winning her age group at IM 70.3 Langkawi in 2017 and then this year representing Team GB at both the World and European Multi sport Championships taking a bronze and silver medal respectively. She trains at Thanyapura for the winter and races across Asia whilst here.

Dervla Louli Musgrave
Ms Musgrave is an author and founder of the travel portal Compareretreats.com, and works primarily as a Digital Editorial Consultant. She has previously worked with the Hong Kong Tatler as their Digital Editor, with Edipresse Media Asia as their Director of Integrated Content, and with Sassy Media Group as their Managing Editor where she oversaw 7 different websites spanning Asia, the Middle East and Australia. She is currently based in Hong Kong.
